ETHICS STATEMENT & COPYRIGHT STATEMENT

As a journal publisher with a decade of experience, we strive to uphold high publishing standards for publishers, editors, and authors, in line with the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) 2018. Therefore, Pertanika Journal of Counsellor Education and Counselling Psychology’s Ethics and Misconduct Statement fully reflects and aligns with the standards established by COPE 2018. For more detailed information, please refer to the International Standards for Editors and Authors set by COPE. This statement follows a chronological sequence, starting with the research process (for authors), the submission and editing process (for editors), and the subsequent publication process.

Copyright violation is an important, and possibly related, ethical issue. Authors should check their manuscripts for possible breaches of copyright law (e.g., where permissions are needed for quotations, artwork or tables taken from other publications or from other freely available sources on the Internet) and secure the necessary permissions before submission to Pertanika Journal of Counsellor Educator and Counselling Psychology (PJOCECP). Our Publisher, UPM Press and Faculty of Education Studies (FPP) holds the copyright to all published articles. The author(s) should submit the Pertanika’s Copyright Permission form to the Editor-In-Chief once the manuscript has been accepted for publication. Authors must ask for permission to publish their article (or a selection from the article) elsewhere, such as a Pertanika article later appearing as a book chapter or as a translation.
